The next Spring Equinox will be March 19, which means we're winding down the last dreary days of winter. But first we have to get through the Ides of March, and while we're probably not going to be assassinated by our closest friend like Julius Ceasar, it's always been a particularly troublesome time of year. In many parts of the world, the weather changes at a whim, which means you never know how to dress, which means you're probably uncomfortable 93% of your day and spend the other 7% looking through junky weather apps trying to figure out if today is a sweater day or a t-shirt and a light jacket day or if you should just go back to bed.
If you do manage to leave your house, then congratulations! As a reward for your bravery, the whole world is open before you–that is, those countries which aren't currently affected by the coronavirus outbreak. These are just some of the most beautiful travel destinations for March (excluding all the international travel warnings about the coronavirus, because: global epidemic).
Barbados

March is the best time to visit Barbados before summer, as the month brings the last days before the temperatures rise too much for comfort, but the sunshine still lasts for 9 hours.
Barbados was also one of the first Caribbean countries to prepare itself against the coronavirus, acquiring test kits and preparing officials to guard against the disease.

While the rainy season lasts until March, Bolivia is a beautiful mountainous country. Roads commonly traveled by tourists aren't usually delayed with the rain, and the sky fills with breath-taking lightening storms, particularly over Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat.
The landlocked nation also has no reported cases of the coronavirus.

With an average temperature of 73°F (23°C), early Spring is one of the best times to visit the island nation.
As of March 3, no cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Cuba.

It's still the wet season in March, but that means Namibia's desert landscape is at its greenest. Namibia's beautiful wildlife are scattered across their many safari parks, and it's common to spot new-born animals with their parents.

March is a particularly beautiful time to visit the lush country, with warm, sunny weather and little rain along its coast.
While nearby Argentina and Chile have both confirmed their first cases of coronavirus, Peru is implementing safety measures to keep the country virus-free.

Bulgaria in the springtime is one of the best opportunities to visit the lush, mountainous country. Between traditional festivals and nature hikes, Bulgaria is a peaceful destination for a spring getaway (and yes, still coronavirus-free).

Visiting this island nation in March offers the benefits of lower prices and particularly sunny days. With rising temperatures and less rain, you can appreciate the ancient churches and temples and go swimming in the sea.
Despite the small country's proximity to Italy, where the coronavirus is spreading rapidly, the nation has no reported cases of coronavirus and is taking precautions.
