These Celebrities Can't Travel Without These Essentials

Pack your next carry-on with these world class travelers in mind

To pack or not to pack in your carry-on — that is the question.

Ever since the TSA put in restrictions on liquids and electronics, our travel essentials have been fighting for their own space within our luggage — and let us not forget all those full bottles we had to throw away at security.

So now us flight fiends have to get creative. Do I really need that hand lotion that takes up half my bag? Should I bring a sheet mask for that bone dry airplane air? Well, let us consult the people that travel for half their job — celebrities and influencers.

1. Chrissy Teigen — for the facedelete

In a famous Instagram post, Chrissy Teigen posted a picture of her in a face mask on a plane with the caption "Scaring children." Of course, Teigen is showing off her usual charm and wit, but sheet masks can be very helpful in a plane's dry climate.

Teigen uses SK-II Facial Treatment Mask that you can find on Amazon and follows up with moisturizer after. If you're too embarrassed about looking like a weirdo, Drunk Elephant's Sukari Babyfacial goes on semi-clear and very discreet.

2. Kim Kardashian — for sleep

According to the Kim Kardashian app, she has a list of essentials she always needs to carry on with her — among these is a silk pillowcase and a Barefoot Dreams blanket. Although these might not seem like the most necessary products, a silk pillowcase will help keep grease and dirt from building up on your face, and a cozy blanket will keep you warm on a cold plane.

3. Miranda Kerr — for pick-me-ups

In a recent article, Miranda Kerr wrote for Well and Good; she states that after taking off her makeup and cleansing her skin — an essential — she puts on a facial oil and a balm on top. After her routine, Kerr then starts her meditation as a quick flight pick-me-up.

The balm she uses is Kora Organics' Noni Glow Face Balm which is relatively pricey, but completely worth it, according to Kerr.

4. Jennifer Lawrence — for distraction

Ever since a recent engine failure on one of her flights, Jennifer Lawrence has been suffering from flight anxiety — to help distract herself, she downloads Disney movies to watch during the flight, according to Travel and Leisure.

To distract yourself and relieve anxiety, stream a season of a favorite show, download some nostalgic movies, or utilize in-flight entertainment — Amazon has a huge selection of entertainment that's included with Prime.

5. Chris Evans — for simplicity's sake

Although beauty products are very feminized, men can also participate. In a 2016 InStyle interview with Chris Evans, he described his beauty routine as "simple, classic, and clean." And he's completely correct — Dove bar soap and Cetaphil lotion are among his essentials. Most of these products are too big to bring on a flight, but others are small enough to sneak in a purse pocket.

Take Chapstick — if Chris Evans can't live without this product, you probably can't either. Pick one up at Amazon and keep your lips silky smooth.

6. Rosie Huntington — for entertainment

As a model and actress, Rosie Huntington travels a ton for her jobs. Among her carry-on full of clothes and beauty products, Huntington always carries something to entertain her — like Lena Dunham's book "Not That Kind of Girl" as she tells Who What Wear.

If you're not so much of a book person, she also carries around a pair of nice Beats headphones — listening to a playlist or a podcast can pass time very quickly, and you can get yours here.

7. Lupita Nyong'o — for sun protection

Ever wonder why Lupita Nyong'o has such amazing, smooth skin? Sun protection. During her trip to Bali, Nyong'o posted a picture of her travel essentials, among which is a sun hat, sunglasses, and skin products.

If you don't have money for expensive sunnies, a growing brand on Amazon sells cheap — yet cute — shades for around ten bucks each.

At the end of all this, I leave you one piece of wisdom — don't focus so much on what you bring on your travels, but the adventure itself. Just be grateful that you have this amazing opportunity to see the world and enjoy it while you can!
