Here are the top trips to take this fall:

Cancun

When it comes to fall travel, the name of the game is blue-skies, sand, and sun. Cancun’s gorgeous beaches and fine weather fit the bill. After visiting CDMX this summer, I’ve added many more Mexican cities to my travel bucket list. Cancun is top of the roster.

San Diego

San Diego is another beachside city I’m fiending to visit. For a while now, my social media algorithms have been soft-launching it to me. Luring me in with news of the latest restaurant openings and secluded beaches. I’m sold. Just watch the California weather warnings to avoid a heatwave during your trip.

Phoenix

December in California can get chilly. But Phoenix has sun year round. And it has some of the best hotel spas and wellness resorts in the country. Don’t judge me. That part of me that can’t resist reading Goop’s newsletter and wants to try Brad Pitt’s champagne skincare line is the part of me that has me obsessively bookmarking Arizona wellness retreats.

Austin

Everything’s bigger in Texas. And in Austin, it’s bigger and better. Whether you’re buying discount tickets to Austin City Limits or taking a food tour of the vibrant restaurant scene, Austin’s a city that only got better during the pandemic. The only thing keeping me from heading there right now is the very real possibility that I won’t to leave.

Miami

Miami has more to offer than college spring break. In fact, the fall is the best time to visit. Warm but not too humid, the city isn’t overrun with drunk college students. Pay a visit to Wynwood Walls for a glimpse of Miami’s art scene and do some shopping at curated boutiques. Between hours? Sunbathing on the beach, of course.

Niagra Falls

Flying to New York doesn’t have to mean flying into the city. Jet into Niagra Falls to appreciate one of nature’s most spectacular feats before it gets too cold to enjoy it.

Detroit

Detroit’s burgeoning culture scene has impressively designed hotels and restaurants that are shaking up the industry. While you’re there, check out Hitsville U.S.A at the Motown Museum, then head to the Detroit Institute of Arts to marvel at the spectacular Diego Rivera murals.
