There is a little of Nemo in all of us. For the Nemo in you, who isn't scared of the edge of the reef, shark diving can provide a thrill that will liven ay vacation experience. Shark diving is great for the curious, marine biology buffs or people who just really love Shark Week.

1. Maaya Thila, Maldives

One of the most popular spots to scuba dive, Maya Thila is notable for grey reef sharks, white tip shars, scorpion fish and the combinations of soft and hard corals. Along with the sharks, dog-toothed tuna, great barracuda, blue-faced angelfish, Moorish idol, tall fin batfish, parrotfish, butterfly fish, clown triggerfish and lionfish habitat the reef. If you really wanted you could swim around the entire reef, which has a diameter of 80 meters. Novice and experienced divers can access the reef by boat.

2. Beqa Lagoon, Fiji

If you really love sharks, the Shark Dive in Beqa Lagoon is for you. You can see eight species of sharks. Blacktip Reef, Whitetip Reef, Grey Reef, Silvertip, Twany Nurse, Sicklefin Lemon, Bull and Tiger all populate the water surrounding the lagoon. While you scuba dive, you can encounter over 400 tropical fish. You can schedule a diving excursion with a local company or dive with Tiger sharks at Beqa Lagoon Resort's Dive.

3. Aliwal Shoal, South Africa

About three miles off the coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, rocky reef Aliwal Shoal is home to two shipwrecks that make for a popular diving spot. Grey Nurse sharks gather for mating season between July and November, making it one of the best times to visit the Shoal. The reef, which is remains of an ancient sand dune, has similar marine life to the Australian reef. While you dive next to Grey Sharks, you'll probably encounter Tiger sharks, Whale sharks, dolphins ad Manta Rays.

4. Isla de Guadalupe, Mexico

The Great White shark is one of the largest sharks in world and one of the best places to get up close and personal is the Isla de Guadalupe. The remote volcanic island is located off of the coast of Baja California. This is not a scuba diving adventure. Cage diving allows divers get close to the predator in safe conditions.

5. Tiger Beach, Grand Bahama, Bahamas

If you want to go shark diving in in fall or winter, you need to head to Tiger Beach. Tiger sharks (obviously), hammerheads, Caribbean reef sharks, Lemon sharks and spotted dolphins make up part of the ecosystem. Along with the sharks, you get crystal clear blue waters and white sand beaches.

6. Cocos Island, Costa Rica

Once you finish a 36-hour sail from Costa Rica, you'll stumble across the uninhibited Cocos Island. Folklore has it that several pirates have left their treasure in and around Cocos Island. But the real treasure is the abundance of Hammerhead sharks, White Tips, Manta Rays and dolphins. For the more adventurous, try the night dive where you can see the white tips feeding on prey.
